Freedom....so far

I have nothing to do that's due this week, that means that I can relax and do what I want to. Which is why I decided to get a tattoo... well not really, HAHAHA My mom wouldn't allow me to have one but it's okay. I've always wanted to have a peace-sign tattoo so I tried to improvise.

I USED A MARKER AND DREW A PEACE SIGN ON MY LEFT WRIST. HAHAHA. I'm so desperate. Here's a photo...

I'm loving my tat so far.... I really want a legit one but whatever, over my dead body. It's so cuteeeeeee, I'm so happy. What a way to celebrate my rest day. HAHAHA

Sleeves and Snakeskin

Photo credits to Lance del Prado

The weather has been constantly cold for the whole week and I'm pretty sure that most of us here in the Philippines are lovin' it, especially those with a collection of sweats, scarves and those boots with the fur. Am I right or am I right? I don't have a wardrobe of winter clothes but I do have tons (this is an exaggeration) of long-sleeves, leggings and sweats 'cause I really like pieces that are "chill-looking" and at the same time very comfortable to wear.

I've been sick week-long 'cause of the weather that's why I feel pretty bipolar hating it and loving it at the same time. My voice range is that of men and I do squeak a lot recently so I can't actually converse with people properly which is why I'm blogging it all out.

Loose knitted long-sleeved blouse: From my mom
Leggings: Forever 21
Flats: Ferretti

I found this knitted long-sleeved blouse from my mom's old closet 5 months ago and I've been using it since then. She doesn't want to wear it anymore 'cause she told me that it makes her look fat (non-verbatim). It's mine now....heheheheh. I folded up the sleeves because they were too long and I wanted to add a bit of my "style" to it - I have this habit of folding the ends of my clothes.

In the picture above you can see that I paired my knitted blouse with gray leggings and flats. You can see me wear clothes like these all the time (plus my everyday-hair). The only plan I had for today was to go to choir practice and stay at home for the rest of the night to relax  after a long and tiring week of acads.

I got these gorgeously-looking cream faux snakeskin flats from Ferretti just today! My ever-so-lovely looking lola bought them for me after they (my grandparents) fetched me from my dorm. I love her so much!!!

It's pretty much destiny when I saw the flats 'cause they were the last pair and they fit perfectly on my small feet! I asked the saleslady what size the flats were and she told me that it was a size 4. I'm always a size 5 so this really shocked me. Apparently, my feet has shrunk (not really) to a smaller size. Talk about lotus feet, my friends.

So there, I hope you like the outfit! But I tell you darlings, for moi, this is one of the the perfect couch-potato looks (just take off the shoes hahaha)! ;-)

What about you, guys? What would you wear for a relaxing day in?

PS. I'm really sorry for the picture quality and my awkward-looking poses.

3rd Friday of January

Finally! My chem exam is over and it was goddamn hard. Here's to hoping that I'll pass.... I've got my fingers crossed!!! Feels like an anvil has been lifted from my body. Anyway, now that my next exam isn't due until next week Tuesday, I have time to renovate my blog!!! Yay, how does that sound?

Well, here's to a better-looking blog in the future! :)

Peace and love

Comfort Food as of January 18, 2012

After each and every heartbreak, ultra hard exam, failed grade, awkward situation that I get, I never forget to give myself a reason to be happy. In fact, all of us need a reason to be happy for every painful and stupid thing that life throws at us and for me, I comfort myself using food or as many people say - comfort food. :-)

1. Soya Milk + Choco Chip Cookie. Soya milk doesn't make my stomach grumble every time I drink it and it becomes more of a blessing especially when you down it alongside a cookie with lots of chocolate chips in it - feels like home away from home (when you're eating it outside of you house of course).

2. Wintermelon Milktea. Now this is the bomb especially when it's from Moonleaf, oh my glob. Drinking this after a long day in school with no "aircon" where you have to walk from building to building on a hot sunny day is a piece of heaven of earth.

3. English Breakfast Tea Latte. From Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Well this is one of the best teas that my taste buds have ever tasted! A bit pricey 'cause it's small for a hundred thirty bucks or so but it's totally worth it. I like drinking this after every chemistry long test that I take. Helps me forget the battle that I've gone through...

4. Double cheeseburger and fries with lots and lots of ketchup. McDo has thought of the best things a student dormer needs when facing a very tiring week. Just munching on that double cheeseburger can help make things feel a little lighter, especially when you ADD FRIES WITH IT, oh my gosh I think I'm drooling..

5. Green Tea Frapuccino. One of my fave frappes in Starbucks because it's caffeine free (I think) 'cause I can't take in large amounts of it since it gives me palpitations. Adding hazelnut (just tell the barista! but sometimes, they're even the ones to ask you if you want to add some) makes it even mores special because it enhances the flavor of the drink. I always feel relaxed each time I drink it.

6. Strawberry Cream Smoothie. I'm guessing not all of you are familiar with this 'cause this can only be bought (I think....for the 2nd time) in a tea shop near my dorm called, "FrosTea". They serve really good milkteas and smoothies but some of my friends actually don't like it since they like milkteas that are more on tea than milk (which I don't like). Anyway, you guys should really try it, it's the perfect drink when you're having an all-nighter since it keeps you awake but still helps you fall asleep (that's how it works for me....)

7. Donuts. My all-time fave donut shop is still Krispy Kreme. Okay, J. Co's the "new" thing right now, yeah, it's healthier than KK but what the hell! Nothing beats the classic Krispy Kreme Honey-glazed D's. Plus their super unique donuts with Kitkat and Toblerone White pieces...come one, WHO DOES NOT LIKE KITKAT AND TOBLERONE??????????!!!

8. Ice Cream and . I've never like buying expensive ice cream which is why I have "sorbetes" first on my list of face ice creams (is ice creams even a correct word?). Sorbetes is the Filipino term for dirty ice cream, it's really cheap, you can buy it more or less than five to thirty pesos (the price depends on the cone of your choice). I like buying ice cream in UP Student Center and in AdMU's Gonzaga cafeteria. Of course, there are others: Swensen's, Haagen Dazs and the like....

9. Chocolates. No more need to explain this. Chocolates are the best comfort food in the world from Cadbury - Royce.

What about you? What are your comfort foods? :-) Please share them to me so that I can try them!

Mod

Photo Credits to Lance del Prado

I have always been a fan of 60s clothing 'cause it's very simple but beautiful at the same time. There are two types of clothing during the 60s: Rock and Mod. Those who prefer "rock" wear teddy boy or teddy girl outfits (you can easily tell them i swear, especially when it comes to their hair, i promise to post a teddy girl look soon!) and those who are "mod" prefer clothes that are less-revealing and not body-hugging. What I'm wearing is a gray long-sleeved, off-white laced shift dress with an extension of ruffles under it (I added this so that it wouldn't look too short since I wore this to church hehe).

Dress: Vintage store.
Flats: Greenhills

I bought this dress in a vintage thrift shop in Katipunan. You can buy all sorts of vintage stuff for an affordable price in thrift shops, all you need is patience, time and a good eye.

I curled my hair and added a small amount of coral-colored lipstick. I like everything simple! :-)

I wore my fave red and black faux suede flats to give the outfit a more sophisticated look. What about you? Have you tried dressing up Mod before? :-)

Fiery: From Kristine to Kristin

Well, it's almost a lot like Kristen Stewart's hair haahaha. Just wanted to have a new look for this year. I wasn't sure yet what color I wanted when I came to the salon so I had two colors mixed to make deciding a lot easier. It's a mixture of mahogany and copper - these colors made me look whiter. Hahahahaha!

Sorry if you can't see the color that much. I don't have a decent camera.

New hair, New life???? =))

Well, what do you think? Does it look okay?

2013: What's new?

I can't keep the excitement!!!!

HERE IT GOES.............

I HAD MY HAIR COLORED!!!!!!!!
I HAD MY HAIR COLORED!!!!!!!!
I HAD MY HAIR COLORED!!!!!!!!
I HAD MY HAIR COLORED!!!!!!!!

Okay. I have always loved Kristen Stewart especially the way she dresses and carries herself. She's not too girly and not too boyish either. Also, I love her hair color!!!! I got the inspiration for my hair's color from. I'll try to get a picture of mine to show you guys. Love it!!!

Irresponsible

Christmas break is about to end and I didn't even get the chance to update more than 10 times. I'm really sorry friends but (here I go again with the promises) I swear I'll try to update as often as possible. It's just that being a responsible student and a frequent blogger just don't go so well together. I'm experiencing some sort of role strain here.

Again, I'm really sorry. Love you guys. :-* HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Relaxed in Plaid

Photo credits to Ms. Nadine Capidos
Photos taken @ Fort Santiago

I haven't always been a girly-girl, in fact, when I was in grade school, people actually called me "boyish". It's actually funny now 'cause people still won't believe me that I had a "tomboy" phase. I'm pretty sure that most girls underwent that stage in their life some just won't admit it (heheheh).

Anyway, there are days when I just want to chill and wear something relaxing that looks decent at the same time like a simple plaid polo and shorts. Perfect for almost all kinds of days.

Plaid polo from Atmosphere.
I can't remember where I got the shorts.
Teal flats.
