Update?

Hey! Ho! Hehehehe, it's so hard to try to be Irish so I'll just stop the act. My fingers are too lazy to type too much tonight so I'll just update tomorrow. Plus, I've been sleeping abnormally for the past three days and I'm not sure if it's Insomnia or Paranoia (i really feel like someone is watching me, oops stop). Oh well, it's 11:27pm now and I'll try to sleep as early as possible to make up for the other nights that I slept at 4am. :-)

I currently have two pending posts in my drafts right waiting to be written and published. Wait for it! HAHAHAAH I'm waiting for myself to write it too. Goodnight, guys!

I Gave Peace a Chance

It's already 12:28 and I'm still awake. My body clock is officially ruined by this 2 week break that some of my batchmates call summer vacation. I have to make sure that I fix this as soon as possible but let's not think about that now.

A few minutes ago, I was browsing through the pages of my blog and I scanned my bucketlist page to check if I had ticked off something yet. Lo and behold I did! And I totally forgot about it, it was the last one on my list - to get a henna. Well, when I wrote that bucketlist, I thought that it was impossible to get a henna because of my mom-is-a-doctor-she-wouldn't-allow-me-to-get-one-forever situation but when I decided to be some sort of bad ass and get a henna without her permission, she didn't mind it as long as I made sure that I don't show it too much in public. That was totally fine for me as long as I get a picture of it as a remembrance. HAHAHAHAHA

I got my henna tattoo in Subic when I went to a field trip for my Zoology subject. That was a very hectic week but I managed to get through, anyway... I chose a peace sign (of course). Here's a picture.

I was actually surprised when I asked how much it would cost me to get a henna because it was cheaper than I expected. I only paid 50 bucks for this creep and I have to say it was worth it. When I asked in a tatt shop in Katipunan how much a henna that big would cost, they told me that it was about 600 bucks. CAPITALIST BASTARDS.

Anyhoo, that's one thing ticked off my bucketlist, a lot more to go. Let's just hope that I get to tick all of them before I'm six feet under the ground.

Have you guys tried getting a henna? Just be careful when you're planning to get one because some inks can cause serious allergies that can really harm your skin. Just a friendly warning. Hehehe.

Getting ready for Summer 2013

Photo credits to Lance del Prado

Summer's here finally!! I'm so happy 'cause I don't have to worry about my acads for 2 weeks or more. My school stuff has been taking too much of time but that doesn't matter anymore. I'm back now!! Whoopee!!

Last last Sunday, it was very hot and the weather was a killer that I just had to wear something cool and breezy so I wore a white dress and my fave pair of teal slip-on flats for my pre-summer look since this was taken a week before my summer vacation. Hehehehe

White sleeveless dress: Vintage Store
Teal sandals: Forever 21

As I have said before in my previous posts, you can find a lot of swell clothes in vintages stores and thrift shops. I bought my white dress from a thrift shop in Katipunan, it still had tags on it meaning that it was brand new, for a very cheap price. I liked it because of it's bow-like collar. You don't usually see collars like that. I just really like buy stuff that you can't see in malls and other boutiques.

Sorry, I don't have a clear picture of my teal sandals but as you can see from the picture, they're just flats with a T-strap that connects the whole thing. It has that chill, summer, hippie look to it and as far as I remember, during the 70s, women started to wear T-strap sandals but I'm not sure though, just basing this from a picture I saw of Linda McCartney one time when she was with Yoko Ono. I'll try to look for that picture again. Hehehe

To give the whole outfit that fresh summer look, I pulled up my hair into a bun, let loose my bangs (you can see a chunk of wayward hair over there hahahaha) and added a touch of bohemian to it. Can you guys see it? It's that lock of braided hair that goes around my head. I've always wanted to do that to my hair but it's impossible 'cause I'm not really an expert when it comes to braiding and hair-styling. So I searched up braided headbands and bought online. HAHAHAHA I'm such a sucker for boho stuff!

And since I wore to church, I wore my pair of large pearl earrings c/o my mom (i don't really like wearing accessories but she forced me) and voila! My pre-summer look is done.

How are your summers going so far? I'd love to hear form all of you. Enjoy and have fun, friends!

Sun, Sand and Sweet Company: Anvaya 2013

Last Monday, February 25, 2013, my friends and I went to Anvaya Cove in Subic to celebrate me and my friend's joint birthday celebration. We've been planning for it for a long time and I'm so happy that most of us were able to go. We met at around 6:30 am in McDonald's Katipunan and left by 7:30 am. The drive was a bit long 'cause we stopped over two times to eat breakfast, and we weren't really rushing.

Here are some of our pictures during our second stop over on the way there to Subic.

With my favorite girlas.
And again. Hehehehe, sorry we rarely take photos.
Three of my fave boys.

After stretching our legs and taking pictures during the stop over, we headed off to Anvaya. The car ride was fun, well, car rides are ALWAYS fun especially when you're with people that you love. Loud music was on, everyone was singing and no one's being a jerk. Even though the way there was a bit long, we didn't mind it 'cause we were enjoying each other's company. Here's a picture of me and my friend at the back of the car.

After an hour drive, we finally arrived at Anvaya. The place was breath-taking! We were so lucky that our friend's family were members there. It's a perfect place to chill, relax and unwind from our very hectic and busy academic lives....well, sometimes. HAHAHAA jk, we are really quite busy 'cause of our acads.

Here are some pictures of the beach 'cause that's what we were after anyway.. HAHAHA

Anvaya beach.

My friend brought his camera with fish-eye lens and used it to take pictures the whole day. It gave all of our photos that cute, summer vibe. P.S. All of the pictures that I posted here is all from his camera.

We immediately changed our clothes and headed straight for the beach. I've always wanted to have a summer-like vacation with these bunch of people and it finally happened and I'm so happy 'cause we went on a very special day. My friend turned 18 that day so the crew from Anvaya gave her a chocolate cake.

The whole gang with the bday celebrant. She's the one wearing a gray shirt hehehe.

From 11am to 1pm we were just at the beach, swimming and playing, but soon we felt hungry so we had to get out of the water first to eat lunch. My friends and I love food so much and that's what brought all of us together.

After eating, we played Frisbee, football and dodge ball on the beach. We all felt so chill and carefree. It was one of the best outings that we've had so far. In Anvaya, there were a lot of activities to do and we didn't want to waste our time there so we tried the banana boat ride and the kayaks. My favorite was the banana boat ride 'cause the boat was flipped and it threw us all out into the water with many swimming jellyfish eggs that kept stinging us (the flipping was part of the ride but the jellyfish eggs weren't hehehe) but it was worth it. While we were on the banana boat, some of our friends rode the kayak and just waded off into the waters and enjoyed the view. I'm pretty sure all of us had fun.

We then went back to the shore to bond and talk with each other, take pictures and eat some more.

We all look so tan here. HAHAHAHA but I love it.

I love this fish-eye shot so much!!
When we saw that the sun was beginning to set, we headed back to our locker rooms to clean up and change. The sun was beautiful and we wanted to take pictures with it so we had to hurry up hehehe.

I've always wanted to have a decent photo of myself at the beach (narcy right haha) and my friend made it possible.  Here's the photo! HAHAHA

I love the sea, the sun and the tan lines. HAHAHAHA
And since we rarely took pictures of ourselves, we took advantage of my friend's amazing fish-eye camera and the lovely view. HAHAHAAH

Bestest girlas on the beach!

With one of my bestestestest friends Mia. Love her!
And since it was the first time that we were almost complete and went out of town, we just really had to take group pictures with the sunset!

Real friendship.
With them girls again! Heeheeeh

Family photo! 2013
Febrauary 25, 2013 will always be one of those days that I would want to relive over and over again. I love these people so much. So lucky to have each and every one of them!

We left the Anvaya at around 6pm and arrived at Katipunan at around 11pm. Yes, it took us 5 hours 'cause we stopped over three times on the way back. We had dinner during our second stop in KFC Pampangga.

With Ielly!
Hay, these people. What would college be like without you guys? I love all of you so much!

Peace and Love,

Kaye xx
